Curator’s statement
Spain really does have it all. From its renowned beaches to majestic mountains, Spain has a diverse landscape with a unique culture like no other in Europe. In addition to landscape, Spain has a diverse collection of historical and cultural attractions for everyone, including an awe-inspiring art scene and the famous Basilica Sagrada Familia. And of course, a visit to Spain isn’t complete without tapas and wine, as each region has it’s own unique take! The best part is the temperate climate, making Spain the perfect destination spot nearly all year round.

Days 1-2: Barcelona
Start your adventure in Barcelona, a city known for stunning architecture, sandy beaches and world-class cuisine. Explore the city with a guided walking tour to visit the magnificent architecture and museums such as the famous Gothic Quarter and Basilica Sagrada Familia. Enjoy a custom wine and tapas tour, or perhaps a private cooking class with a Spanish culinary expert. For those that want to relax, enjoy a quick excursion to one of the famous beaches near Barcelona or perhaps a bike ride for those that prefer to remain active.
Day 3: Granada
Situated on the southern coast of Spain, Granda and Ronda are both known for bull-fighting. Start your day off with a private viewing of Alhambra’s gorgeous gardens or an e-bike tour in the Sierra Nevada, followed by a visit to the Plaza de Toros, one of the oldest bullrings in Spain.
Day 4 & 5: Gibraltar
Did you know that Great Britain has an overseas territory at the southern tip of Spain? Home to the largest population of Barbary macaques in Europe, Gibraltar is perhaps most famous for the giant rock of Gibraltar. Spend a day exploring the historic tours from WWII, visiting with the macaques, and eating authentic Moroccan food.
Interested in a side trip to Morocco to visit northern Africa before heading north to Madrid? This can be easily arranged by crossing the straight of Gibraltar by boat for a day trip or an extended visit. All trips with Fora are entirely customizable!
Day 6-7: Seville and Cordoba
As you head north toward Madrid, stop in Seville and Cordoba to explore the medieval history of the region, including the enormous Gothic cathedral Royal Palace of the Alcazar. For the adventurous, enjoy a private trekking tour and lush views through Caminito del Rey.
Day 7-10: Madrid
End your trip to Spain with a tour of Madrid’s capital, including the magnificent architecture and Prado Museum, Royal Palace and San Miguel Market. Enjoy a relaxing day of wine tasting in the Toledo region, followed by a private dinner in an authentic Spanish dinner in a local home before heading home.
Canary Islands Extension
Not ready to go home? Extend your vacation at an all-inclusive resort on one of Spain’s white-sandy beaches known as the canary islands. This is the perfect relaxing end to an active itinerary!
