Curator’s statement
The winter in Aspen is truly magical. It is a great for a winter escape with something for everyone including skiing, world-class dining, spas, shopping, art and enough views for all to take in. Staying in the town on Aspen is one of my favorites because it is so convenient to Aspen Mountain. Enjoy a full day of skiing and end the day with an après ski cocktail to warm you up at the end of a long day. Be sure to take advantage of all the great restaurants the town as to offer.

Days 1 & 2: Enjoy the slopes and après ski
Time to get your gear on and hit the mountain, but before you hit the slopes stop at one of Aspen’s favorite coffee shops to fuel up for a full day on the slopes. Highly recommend Jour de Fete, Local Coffee House and Gorsuch Ski Cafe.
After a morning of skiing, enjoy lunch on the mountain at The Sundeck for amazing views of the Elk Mountains and Aspen Valley that will make you feel like you are at the top of the world. Wish for blue-bird skies for endless views.
Après Ski is one of the best traditions of skiing. It’s a traditional cocktail at the end of your day. Perfect to warm you up, rest your legs and get you energized for your evening dinner. We love to Après Ski at French Alpine Village and even stay for dinner. Either stroll the town and pop in for dinner or make reservations at one of the town sought-after tables at The Wild Fig.
Day 3: Rest day at the spa and shopping
Take the day to let your legs rest and recover. Sleep in and book an appointment at The St. Regis Spa for an amazing soaking tub with waterfalls and complimentary oxygen bar for a little relief from the altitude. After the spa, take some time stroll through town and get ready to shop. Aspen has some amazing shopping from high-end luxury boutiques to local crafts. Pop in to the many galleries open to all whether you are buying or just viewing. Don’t miss Forre Fine Art.
Book dinner at Matsuhisa. The restaurant is situated over two floors in a 120-year-old Victorian on Main Street, with a grand dining room downstairs and a main-level lounge and sushi bar. Try to get a reservation for one of the super-exclusive Nobu in Town nights when the master himself is behind the bar, crafting his signature dishes, schmoozing with guests and signing cookbooks.
Day 4: Another day of mountain skiing
Choose to stay at Aspen Mountain or venture to one the other four mountains for skiing Aspen has to choose from. Take the shuttle to Aspen Highlands or one of the others to explore a new area. Make a lunch or ski après reservation at Cloud Nine Bistro, an iconic European-style cabin that serves classic fondue and apple strudel with views of the Maroon Bells.
Day 5: Dog sledding adventure
Book a tour with Dog Sledding Krabloonik for a truly one-of-a-kind experience you will never forget. Meet these beautiful animals and experience what it's like to dog sled through the wilderness. This is great for kids and adults. Come back to town for dinner at Hotel Jermoe’s Prospect.
