Cafe de Duivel: Open 7 days a week, this hip-hop bar not only has great music but is the oldest of its kind in Amsterdam. Famous DJ’s from all over come to play here.

Frisco Inn Hookah bar: Quaint and friendly hookah bar not too far from Centraal Station with great drinks and friendly staff. Tell them Brandy sent you. Not black-owned, but the staff is friendly here.

Jamaica Lounge: Bustling Jamaican lounge with good food and drinks. This is the place to visit for a real reggae experience in Amsterdam sure to keep you coming back for more.

Labyrinth: If you're into poetry and spoken word this is the place to be. Wind down the evening with delicious African-Caribbean soul food and drinks curated by one of the city’s best mixologists.

Bar Bario: A unique inclusive bar that offers a great gallery for it's local creatives. They pride themselves on being a safe space for the black and queer communities. This place is a good time for everyone.

Reggae Rita's: Authentic Jamaican eatery that lives up to its name. Get a true taste of Jamaica that will keep you rocking to the reggae beat or put you in a food coma. Truly worth the visit for a good dinner!

African Kitchen: Exclusive West African cuisine that comes highly recommended for a dinner. With rich African decor and natural scenery, it’s sure to leave you full and satisfied.

Water en Brood: A good spot for breakfast and brunch with good food and even better vibes. They are know for their warm and inviting atmosphere.

Mooshka: Vegan soul food with an African-Caribbean twist that supports Ethiopia. They serve both music and food for the soul that’s perfectly curated so no good vibes or taste are compromised.

Locals Coffee: Stop by and try the special blend of coffee called locals 27 that keeps the “locals” talking. You can take in the scenery with outdoor seating or enjoy the cozy atmosphere inside with an all-day brunch menu.

TerraZen: Japanese and Caribbean fusion vegan dishes with an extensive menu and a unique flair. This is a good choice when you want to switch it up, but keep a down home atmosphere for lunch and/or dinner.

Waterkant: Canal-side bar with a largely Surinamese-inspired hospitality and culture. You can sit by the water and enjoy quick bites or a full meal for lunch. If you stay for the night, you can get a good dose of the tropical oasis.

Tudy’s Kitchen: Fun and eclectic ice cream shop with unique flavors inspired by your favorite brunch and drink items. Best of all, they give back by giving business opportunities to underrepresented groups.
