Hours of advanced research ensure my itineraries capture fun, authentic experiences that become part of my family's travel lore – like the time we lit a hundred lanterns in Luang Prabang, Laos to mark the end of Buddhist Lent. Pure magic. My personal rules for travel: book key experiences in advance but leave room for tips from locals, be it the concierge or the bartender. Always savor the golden hour, beverage-of-choice in hand. And don't rush a destination. Check in for a minimum of three nights.
