My travel style

I prefer locally oriented boutique hotels or unique stays with thoughtful inclusion of local culture, history and businesses. While traveling, I love urban green spaces, public transportation and imbibing in local brews, liquors and chips. I always hunt for a good jazz bar and a new body of water to jump into. My one travel rule is to always save time to wander aimlessly in your location and drink in its essence. The only downside of traveling is leaving my dog.

  • Christmas markets in Bavaria with my mother. 

  • Overwater bungalow off Panama's Caribbean coast.

One thing I can't travel without...

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I once traveled internationally with an expired debit card and no cash. 

  2. I have been detained by immigration returning from Mexico. 

  3. I accidentally carried a pocket knife in my carry on, and the TSA didn't stop me.
