Curator’s statement
As a mom of two young children, I was led to believe I'd never have a 'real' vacation again until they were 21. I've realized anyone who tells you that is wrong. There are some fantastic luxury resorts and all-inclusive properties that make sure your kids (some as young as three months!) have a fantastic and fun time while you and your partner get some much needed relaxation and time to catch-up as a couple.

Best Family-Friendly All-Inclusive Resorts Around the World
Beaches Turks & Caicos: Truly the best family all-inclusive experience, boasting 21 gourmet restaurants, a Sesame Street-themed kids club and ten pools. This is for the family that wants to try everything!
Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda (Dominican Republic): Club Med's childcare starts at three months old, meaning when my daughter was eight months my husband and I were able to have some quiet meals and relax by the pool. Club Med's kids clubs are run by trained childcare G.O's and have groups for ages three months through 17.
Martinhal Family Hotels & Resorts, Sagres Algrave: Portugal is a relatively quick flight from the East Coast of the United States and the Algrave are is known for its Atlantic beaches and golf resorts. A baby concierge is there to assist you and kids clubs are available starting at six months. Bring the whole family and stay in one of their luxury villas.
Four Seasons Resort Nevis: Although not an all-inclusive, any Four Seasons Resort is an experience, and most offer unparalleled childcare. At Nevis, children can learn about sea turtles, attend cooking classes and engage with local wildlife. All while you're sitting at the excellent spa!
Finest Playa Mujeres: The sister resort to the Excellence feels like a honeymoon for adults; however, there is entertainment for kids everywhere, including their waterpark and kids clubs. Excellent options for food and convenience to the Cancun airport, make this an easy win. I would recommend for families with children under ten. As a special treat; the kids club will take your kids to dinner while you have time to reconnect with you significant other.
Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit: For the family that wants luxury and exceptional dining experiences, but also wants to ensure their kids have endless options of activities, Grand Velas stands out as a luxury family favorite. Grand Velas continuously wins awards as the family favorite all-inclusive resorts in Mexico.
Best All-Inclusive Resorts by Travel Style
For the foodie: My top recommendation on this list would be Grand Velas and Beaches for their several upscale and luxury food options as part of their all-inclusive packages. However, some families prefer eating locally and not staying at an all-inclusive. Four Seasons Nevis provides the best of both worlds, as their on-site restaurants, including On the Dune, have amazing Caribbean-inspired dishes.
For the golfer: Four Seasons Nevis.
For the scuba diver: Beaches includes as many dives as you want as part of their all-inclusive package
For the beach-lover: The Algarve can't be beat and checking out Martinhal is a must!
For families with babies: Club Med's services and childcare are known in the industry as being the very best. Having someone to take care of little ones as young as three months really makes this a true vacation spot for new parents.
For toddlers: Finest Playa Mujeres has two great waterparks for the littles toddlers and younger children to enjoy.
