My travel style

I'm a Baltimore-native and former Londoner who has spent the past seven years seeing the world. I founded a travel company, Buoyant, that helps connect Black travelers with all things cool across the diaspora. My trips prioritize supporting Black-owned businesses worldwide. I'm a former hosteler turned boutique hotel lover who can spot a great lobby bar a mile away. Food and drink go hand-in-hand with traveling for me, so finding the best restaurants, food trucks and street food in a destination is my thing.

Akwaaba Philadelphia

Historic hotel in a mansion from the 1880s with rooms and suites that are decorated and influenced by music throughout the decades.

The Hoxton, Downtown LA

For locals and out-of-towners alike, this Downtown LA property is equipped with serene bedrooms, two restaurants and a rooftop pool to escape and relax from the city buzz.

One thing I can't travel without...
