My travel style

How often do you see a mom of four out and about with her kids? Staying in stylish design hotels you never thought you could take your kids to and experiencing the wildest experiences out there, like giving a mud bath to an elephant, harvesting coffee in Northern Thailand and meeting the dragons in Komodo. I enjoy the practice of slow travel – cruising down the Mekong on an old rice barge, living in a treehouse in the Jungle or road tripping in the Far West. I have been traveling with little ones (as young as three weeks old) for the past nine years. Let's just say I know the challenges of family trips, and I am ready to help you get over them. I have tried and tested over 30 destinations with my tribe in Africa, Europe, Asia and the US. Give me a call and fly away!

Favorite hotels

Recently returned from:

  • Cruising down the Mekong Delta in Vietnam on an ancient rice barge turned into a private boutique hotel.

  • Hopping around stylish hotels, exploring the Angkor UNESCO Heritage Site and cycling around the rice fields/visiting traditional floating villages in Siem Reap.

  • Exploring off-the-beaten-path in Bali – bamboo hotels, beach clubs with kids, rice fields.

  • Taking the kids to the North Pole to meet Santa Claus and ride a sleigh pulled by reindeers.

Dreaming of:

  • Iceland to swim in natural hot pools, as well as see Geysers, the Northern Lights and icebergs.

  • Zanzibar and Tanzania to see wildlife and experience the most incredible beaches in Africa.

  • Road-trip in Bolivia down to Lake Titicaca.

  • Cuba – simply walking Havana with my tribe.

One thing I can't travel without...

My phone! You should see my Google Maps – it looks like a gigantic red dot from a distance, as I use it to pin all my favorite places around the world.

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I have worked as a war reporter in Syria.

  2. I visited North Korea with the kids.

  3. I wrote a travel guide to Iran.
