I took my first flight when I was 2 weeks old. Since then I’ve used travel as medicine. Otherwise, I’m usually under synthetic lighting for 80 hours a week as an NYC-based surgeon.

LGA if staying in the country. JFK if I need my passport.
My travel style
I spend months trying to plan out the perfect restaurant, perfect beach club and the rooftop bar that everyone says you have to check out. And then I come to a startling realization that everyone travels differently. For me, it’s not the crazy rooftop bar, but the family-owned, elegant café where everyone treats you like a friend. I’m a sucker for hotel amenities, but I avoid the big names in search of smaller, more personable properties.
