Guide to the Ultimate Las Vegas Girls' Trip

Hang out by the pool: The Las Vegas pool scene is legendary! From a day club to a relaxing scene to family-friendly options, Vegas has it all! Choose a hotel according to your pool preferences as this allows you the easiest access. My favorite pool in Vegas is at the Four Seasons, as it’s much more relaxing than many Vegas pools, the food is delicious, and they pass out fun amenities, like frozen watermelon and popsicles, throughout the afternoon. Reserve a cabana in advance for the best locations and shade availability. 

High Roller: Similar to the London Eye, this observation wheel takes you up above the Strip for great views. Bring your girls during the Happy Half Hour, where your ticket includes an open bar and bartender for one full rotation of the wheel. Cocktails with a view are a great way to kick off an evening. Got a larger group or want some privacy with your girls? You can also reserve a private cabin just for your group. 

Helicopter tour of the strip: There is no better way to see Las Vegas than taking a sunset or after dark helicopter tour of the Strip. Want more of an adventure? You can also take a helicopter ride over the Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon. 

Take a food tour: Want to experience what the locals eat off the strip? Take a food tour with Taste Buzz of the Arts District or Downtown Las Vegas to experience some less touristy bites and sites. 

Have a spa day: Las Vegas is full of amazing spas. Make sure to arrive early as many have great facilities, including steam rooms, hot tubs, saunas, cold plunge pools and relaxation lounges. Two of my favorites are the Canyon Ranch Spa at the Venetian and Sahra Spa at the Cosmopolitan. 

Walk the Strip: Walking the Las Vegas Strip is an experience in itself. Grab a giant frozen cocktail, watch the fountain show at Bellagio, enjoy a gondola ride at the Venetian, take an elevator up to the top of the Paris hotel, ride the roller coaster at New York, visit the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay — the options are never-ending! 

See a show: There are numerous shows you could see with your girls. Looking for some scandalous fun with male dancers? Thunder from Down Under or Chippendales is for you. Looking for something a bit more tame? Cirque du Soleil has numerous show offerings on the Strip. LOVE, the Beatles-inspired Cirque du Soleil show, is my personal favorite. 

Dig This: This is a super unique opportunity to operate construction equipment at a fake construction site, allowing you to try your hand at driving a bulldozer or crushing cars. 

Topgolf: Topgolf is a great social golf experience! Las Vegas can be very hot so instead of visiting a golf course, reserve a climate-controlled, private hitting bay for your girls where you can hit some balls in style, even if it’s raining or sweltering outside. With over a dozen games to play, complimentary clubs and microchipped balls that score themselves, you will have fun even if you have never golfed before! You can order food and drinks to your bay or visit one of the five restaurants and bars on site. Visiting during warm weather? Cool off after you play by reserving a cabana and taking a dip at the lounge pool. 

AREA15: AREA15 is a massive entertainment district full of art, restaurants and experiences. Pop into Meow Wolf for an immersive art experience full of spots to take photos for the ‘gram. Ride the Haley’s Comet zipline through AREA15, visit psychedelic art at Wink World, participate in multiple VR experiences and compete at the Dueling Axes bar. 

Lost Spirits Distillery Las Vegas: Located within AREA15, this distillery is really special and is rated as one of the top distillery experiences in the world. This experience is more similar to a modern circus than a standard distillery tasting. Your admission includes four rum tastings and takes anywhere from 90 minutes to several hours. The immersive theater experience will have you walking amongst the show instead of watching from your seat and there is no beginning or end to the show; you can join and leave the show when you like, taking breaks to tour the distillery or visit the lounges with your group. There is also a 16 course fine dining experience available if your group is full of foodies. 

Pink Jeep Tours: This is one of my favorite things to do, especially with girl groups! Go off-roading in a custom pink Jeep through Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Eldorado Canyon Gold Mine, the Grand Canyon, Death Valley or Hoover Dam. Most of the off-roading jeeps fit eight so it's easy to do a private tour for your girl group! 

Fremont Street Experience: There's so much to do at this off strip entertainment district! Axehole Vegas, SlotZilla Zipline, The Smashed Pig, Bin 702, a Mob Museum, the Golden Nugget’s three-story water slide through a Shark Tank, numerous restaurants, free nightly live music and light shows could keep you entertained all night. 

The Neon Museum: This is a great photo opp for your girls! Visit the Neon Museum to see the “boneyard” of retired signs from casinos and hotels, a perfect backdrop for group pics. Visit at night for the best effect. 

The Container Park: This project in downtown Las Vegas was built out of old shipping containers and has turned into a trendy spot with coffee shops, boutiques and modern food. The playground is fun for all ages so make sure to wear pants and flats so you can experience the slides for yourselves! Definitely make time to visit The Mantis, a sculpture that is 40 feet tall that fires out flames that are more than six stories high. After sunset, The Mantis comes to life via a drum circle ceremony. 

Seven Magic Mountains: You’ve likely seen these rainbow stacked rocks in the background of many influencers' Instagram photos. This fun and colorful art installation is a great photo stop if you are driving into Las Vegas from Southern California or have a driver for the day.

Where to eat & drink on the Vegas Strip

Giada: Pasta served in a cheese wheel? Yes, please! This Italian restaurant within The Cromwell by Giada De Laurentiis, a famous chef from the Food Network, offers seafood towers, cheese and meat and, of course, lots of pasta! 

CATCH Las Vegas: This spot is famous for all of its photo spots, especially the flower and twinkly light tunnel at its entrance. It has solid seafood, sushi, steak and plant-based options. Don’t miss the sashimi with truffles! 

Din Tai Fung: This is a great communal dining experience where you can eat dim sum, noodles, bao, dumplings and other Taiwanese fare. 

Jaleo by Jose Andres: This Spanish restaurant’s main draw is the open-fire wood grill custom designed to cook paellas as the Spanish do and is one of only three specialty paella grills in the world. In addition to paella, the Spanish cuisine at this spot offers tapas, sangria, vegetables, fish, meats and cheeses. 

Beer Park: To have great fountain views while dining in Las Vegas, you usually have to visit a very expensive restaurant. Beer Park is a rare exception! Enjoy simple cuisine, such as burgers and sandwiches, an extensive beer menu, patio games and dozens of TVs all on an outdoor patio overlooking the Bellagio fountains.  

Hash House a Go Go: In a city full of expensive upscale restaurants, sometimes you just want a simpler meal. This Midwestern elevated dinner serves breakfast all day and likely has the biggest serving sizes you’ve ever seen! It’s even been featured on Man vs. Food. 

Egg Slut: This counter service joint offers casual breakfast options prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Get the Slut (coddled eggs in a jar with potato purée and chives), you won’t regret it. The line at this spot gets long on weekends! Go early or divide up your girl group — have half run to the Starbucks downstairs to grab caffeine for the group while the other half holds your spot in line. 

Secret Pizza: This spot in the Cosmopolitan doesn’t have a name, website or sign but it is well worth the visit, whether in the daytime or after a few drinks (it’s open until 4 AM). Its pizza is fantastic and still one of my favorite pizza spots in the US (I love the white pizza). To find it, head to the third floor and look for the hallway decked out in album covers, sometimes with a line. 

Tacos El Gordo: Across from Resorts World and Encore, this low-key taco joint serves Tijuana-style street tacos, loaded fries and other Mexican staples. 

Where to eat & drink off the Vegas Strip

Kabuto-Edomae Sushi: This is an authentic Japanese restaurant off the strip. With two seatings a night, it offers Edomae style sushi featuring the highest quality fish imported from Japan via an Omakase tasting menu. 

Raku: This Japanese charcoal grill house offers grilled meats, noodles, salads and small plates. It also offers two omakase tasting menu options if you want to taste a variety of the menu. 

Honey Salt: This is a great spot for a girls brunch about twenty minutes from the Strip. The menu offers everything from eggs benedict to green juice to french toast. Don’t sleep on the cherry dutch pancake! Bottomless mimosas or bloody marys for two hours is only $20.22, a real steal compared to cocktail prices on the Strip. 

Where to eat & drink in Vegas for those over the club scene

The Mayfair Supper Club: Dinner or a show? Inspired by supper clubs around the world, this venue has combined the two so you can avoid rushing to finish your dinner in time for a show. The food is top-notch, with offerings including seafood, sushi, salads, steaks and the space offers fantastic cocktails. The show is so well-choreographed that even the Bellagio Fountains are involved in the show. This space also transitions to a lounge after 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. 

Vanderpump Cocktail Garden: This bar inside Caesars Palace is full of flowers and resembles sitting in a lush garden, perfect for groups of girls. I love the fun and sassy names of the cocktails, such as “Matcha Matcha Man” and “Please Her, Caesar!”. The Veni Vidi Lychee cocktail is my personal favorite. 

Clique Bar & Lounge: This cozy spot inside the Cosmopolitan is a great spot to try some unique drinks while nibbling on some snacks. Try the Don Sandia for a watermelon margarita shot inside an edible cucumber shot glass and the tableside mixology cocktails for a really cool experience! 

The Chandelier Bar: This bar, situated among the sparkling jewels hanging from the ceiling at the Cosmopolitan, has several levels, with a different cocktail menu on each level. This is the perfect spot for your group of girls to get cocktails before dinner, where you can get group photos among the glimmering decor. Pro tip: Visit the bar on Floor 1.5 and order the Verbena cocktail off the secret menu. This citrus and ginger infused margarita is garnished with a sichuan flower (also known as a Buzz Button). Once you chew on the flower, your tongue will go numb (briefly) and flavors will change completely. For the full experience, try the cocktail both before and after chewing on the flower to taste the difference. 

Skybar: Located inside the Waldorf Astoria, this bar on the 23rd floor offers floor to ceiling windows with epic Strip views and signature cocktails created by mixologists. Don’t pass on the churros! 

Juniper Cocktail Lounge: This cocktail lounge inside the Park MGM boasts the largest collection of gin in Las Vegas. The cocktails are presented beautifully in all forms, from a bird shaped glass to a spherical container to with a cotton candy topper. 

Gatsby's Cocktail Lounge: This new spot at Resorts World has become infamous for its secret menu cocktail served in a bathtub. The secret menu cocktails are the way to go here, as they all come with fun and inventive flavors and presentations. The secret menu is accessible by scanning the QR code on the back of some of their matchboxes.
