My travel style

I have been privileged in my life to have extensively traveled the world through widely different perspectives — as both an expat & tourist. I am passionate about helping ease the stress of preparing for travel for adults, children & families with a chronic illness or serious health condition. Everyone should have access to the whole world, and I help kick down any barriers that may be in their way.

Favorite hotels

Recently returned from:

  • I do not tire of visiting Sedona, AZ. It truly feels like what you imagine Mars to be like.

  • I was so thrilled to finally share my place of birth, England with my two children and husband. Our kids were gobsmacked by the history and architecture and enjoyed the best fish n’ chips almost everyday.

  • I am always California dreaming. From LA to Malibu, from San Diego to Palm Springs, and from San Francisco to Carmel-by-the Sea, one of my favorite places on Earth. My last visit to Cali was to Santa Monica at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. An escape from LA city life when you need a little wind down but still be busy with an array of fun options.

Dreaming of:

  • Returning to my mother’s childhood home of Romania and explore the lush countryside, winding cliff hanging drives in the Carpathian Mountains, and sunny resort at the Black Sea. It been too long since my last visit.

  • Taking a journey from the Hebrides, Scotland, through the Highlands and onto the islands of Orkney, Shetland, and Faroe. I am fascinated by the journey of man that has taken us to the furthest most uninhabitable reaches of the Earth and made them home.

  • Explore the ancient cave town of Matera in Puglia, Italy. I would love to stay at the Aquaio Cave Hotel & Spa and watch the town light up at night.

  • Experience Singapore and stay at Mandarin Oriental and also in contrast Marina Bay Sands.

One thing I can't travel without...

My camera.

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I miraculously healed completely from a serious ski injury in the hot springs at the hotel in Nikko, Japan where we are staying.

  2. I lived in a clear view of a hill where there were spitting cobras in South Africa.

  3. I met Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana at Royal Ascot.
