About

American lawyer living abroad in south London, wandering around Europe at every opportunity.

Home airports

Preferably LGW, otherwise LHR.

My travel style

My travel experiences are largely food and culture focused. Therefore it comes as no surprise that my favorite things to do in a new place include taking a guided walking tour upon arrival and enjoying long, leisurely dinners in beautiful locations each evening. In the afternoons, you can find me on the hunt for the best cup of coffee and bakery nearby, browsing through the local boutiques in search of a unique souvenir or strolling through picturesque side-streets. And, I love a bit of romance so I never say no to rooftop cocktails or a candle lit wine bar. As a lawyer in my day-to-day life, I can't help but focus on the details. I love discovering the little things that make each place and its people special. I'm an avid reader of Google Maps, TripAdvisor and travel blog reviews, so rest assured that anything that makes its way onto my final itinerary has been carefully vetted and thought through.

Favorite hotels

Recently returned from:

  • Window-shopping in the Hamptons.

  • Enjoying live opera and street music in Lucca.

  • Relaxing in Victorian Turkish baths in North Yorkshire.

  • Taste-testing pastries and pickled herring (separately!) in Copenhagen.

Dreaming of:

  • Horseback riding on the black sandy beaches of Santorini.

  • Picking apples in the orchards of Babylonstoren, South Africa.

  • Seeing the "Big Five" on safari in Kruger National Park.

  • Enjoying a glass of champagne in Champagne.

One thing I can't travel without...

My AirPods Pro – noise cancellation is a must!

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I moved to London for a guy I randomly met in Rome.

  2. I was once detained by United States immigration because my passport number was one digit away from someone on the "no fly" list.

  3. I was invited by the chef to chop up vegetables in the kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant.
