Luxury Surfing Destinations Around the World

Surrounded by crystal clear waters and pristine beaches, Six Senses Fiji is located in a beautiful bay on Malolo Island. The luxury resort has its own private beach and the famous spot Cloudbreak is only a 15-minute boat ride away. Other breaks in the area are Restaurants, Wilkes and Swimming Pools, and there are waves for beginners as well. If your travel partner is not a surfer, no sweat, the resort offers plenty of other activities, such as snorkeling, cooking classes, underwater cleanups and sailing.

Amazing eco-resort with overwater villas overlooking endless blues, Gili Lankanfushi is a private island where the accommodations blend in harmoniously with their natural surroundings. Jailbreak is the wave closest to the resort at just a five minute boat trip. Other spots near the hotel are Honkies, Sultans and Chickens. At Gili Lankanfushi, you'll find waves for every level.

This coastline is perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers and the best surf is from April to November.

A surfari on another level, the 39-meter luxury Four Seasons catamaran is an excellent way to explore empty surf breaks. The cruise starts at Four Seasons resort at Kuda Huraa, Maldives, and visits the outer atolls or the north. Cruises are operated both as shared or private charter.

Mexican spirit and contemporary luxury meet at the One & Only in Palmilla, set in a lush tropical garden at the Sea of Cortez. The area offers consistent waves, from beach breaks to reef breaks and pointbreaks.

Areias do Seixo is situated between pine trees and the ocean and offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic. The luxurious boutique hotel is located away from the busy breaks in Peniche and Ericeira. The best time to go for beginners is May to September. For more advanced surfers, it is best to visit from September to February.

This exclusive resort with only 12 rooms is situated near the beach of a quiet lagoon. The Moorish designed resort offers incredible views and is the perfect getaway to catch one of the best waves in Morocco. Beginners can start at La Sultana, while more advanced surfers can catch waves at “Les Tomates.”

While the Seychelles aren't known as a surf destination, the Four Seasons Seychelles, located at the sandy bay of Petit Anse, offers a laid back surf experience ideal for longboarders. The best time to go is from April to October.
