My travel style

Who doesn’t love a luxurious hotel? We all do. However, there is something magical about boutique hotels and unique unexpected places – like igloos and hostels. I have been an active traveler for over 40 years. I love to explore both with and without an itinerary, as there is just something about getting lost. That is when you really see and immerse yourself in your surroundings. I enjoy the outdoors, historical sites, rare and unusual destinations, as well as romantic getaways. I usually hire local guides to enrich my travel experience.

  • Ziplining through Copper Canyon in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico – 8,379ft long with speeds up to 84 mph!

Dreaming of:

  • Sleeping under the Northern Lights in Reykjavik, Iceland. 

  • Riding a helicopter over Venezuela's Angel Falls. 

  • Hopping from one country to the next in Northern Africa – Morocco, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Niger and Nigeria. 

  • Celebrating my 50th birthday with friends and family in New Orleans!

One thing I can't travel without...

A copy of my passport.

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I went scuba diving with sharks in Fiji. 

  2. I flew over the Nazca Lines in Peru. 

  3. I walked 500 miles in 32 days.
