Once a popular resort getaway for the Hollywood elite, Sparrows Lodge is Palm Springs’ only ranch-style boutique hotel and has been beautifully restored with a modern rustic vibe.

Recently returned from:

Sipping Black Balsam cocktails at the Riga International Film Festival in Latvia.
Riding ski gondolas with mountain bikes all around Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland.
Hemp harvesting in Co. Kildare, Ireland.
Rug shopping and waterfall trekking in northern Morocco.

Dreaming of:

Snowy hot springs hiking trip in Japan.
Sailing for a few months around the smaller Greek Islands.
A luxury family safari in Kenya or Madagascar.
A Mexican jungle excursion.

One thing I can't travel without...

Rosewater mist and Stance socks.

Two truths, one lie:

Once had drinks with Bono and The Edge in Dublin and pretended not to know who they were the whole time.
After a long day on the water, I failed to turn on the proper pump and accidentally sank a sailboat in Bristol, Rhode Island.
I decided on a whim to join a hiking trip to the Samaria Gorge, and didn't learn how long the trail is until we were already all the way at the bottom of the longest gorge in Europe.
