When I first started traveling, I focused on seeing every single thing a place had to offer. I’ve grown to understand that experiencing a place is much more intimate than ticking sites off a list. When traveling, it's non-negotiable that my dollars impact local livelihood, rather than a shareholder’s payout. I travel to inspire and connect my network to people, places and stories that remind me that when it comes down to it, we’re much more similar than the world would have us believe. If there were no limitation on money or time, I would spend my life road tripping across the whole, expansive world, stopping where I want, for however long suited me. I’d be shown around by a community of friends or folks in a shared network who were proud to show off their home to a visitor. I would learn many new skills and try many new things – like photography or reindeer herding!
