Perfect 5-Day Itinerary for a Couples' Trip to Cabo

Check into the beautiful Pueblo Bonito Montecristo Estates and arrive at your private villa complete with an infinity pool and an unending view of the Pacific Ocean.

Pro tip: Ask your concierge for grocery delivery service ahead of time so you don't have to stop on the way from the airport.

Get settled in, unload your groceries, pop open your first (of many) bottles of Rose and relax into vacation mode.

Get into the Cabo spirit by starting your evening at the wonderful Los Tres Gallos downtown. With colorful decor and delicious authentic food, it is the perfect first night spot to start off your week in paradise.

*Another great first night spot and one of my favorite restaurants in Cabo is The Office, but they were closed for renovations when we were there.

Start your first full day in Cabo truly embracing the Cabo lifestyle: a margarita in hand and lounging poolside overlooking the Pacific. There is truly no other view like it.

After a full day in the sun, it's time for a refresh and happy hour! Take a taxi to the Rooftop at the Cape for an unparalleled sunset and craft cocktails. We had some of the best drinks here and the whole place is truly a VIBE. After drinks, go next door to the Sunset Monalisa for a breathtaking dinner.

Get another post dinner drink at The Cape, or head back to your villa for a nighttime swim and a goodnight's sleep for another full day in the sun.

One of the perks of staying at a Pueblo Bonito property is access to their incredible spa services and one of the world's greatest golf courses, the Quivira Golf Club. The girls can enjoy the day getting a massage at the Armonia Spa at the Montecristo Estates and utilizing the spa amenities while the boys can play a round of 18 at Quivira. It's a win-win for everyone!

After spa/golf, head back to the villa for a dip in the pool and get ready for a fun evening. Acre and Flora Farms are both in San Jose del Cabo which is about an hour from Montecristo Estates, but I promise it is worth the distance. Both are tucked away in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains and feel like they're own little oasis. Acre has a hip and sleek atmosphere with beautiful decor and craft cocktails. I highly recommend saving enough time to walk the grounds and check out the treehouses that line the property. Also, don't miss the animal sanctuary full of puppies, goats, peacocks and chickens!

After drinks, get another taxi and head to Flora Farms for truly an unbeatable experience. Flora Farms is a farm-to-table restaurant with vibrant colors and a family-friendly atmosphere. I also recommend saving enough daylight to walk the grounds of the property before dinner (preferably with one of their seasonal cocktails in hand). Their menu is ever changing with the season, but their heirloom tomato appetizer was OUT OF THIS WORLD when we were there in August.

I hope you got a good night's sleep the night before because today is going to be a wild one! Put on your cutest swimmie and coverup, and head the SUR Beach House for lunch and an afternoon on the beach. SUR is your more upscale Medano Beach hangout (compared to Mango Deck, for example) and truly a must-do experience. I recommend splitting a magnum of Rose and several sushi rolls and reserving a spot on the beach (a minimum is required to be spent). Their lobster roll is also to die for!

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon, dancing, drinking, and maybe even taking a boat ride to El Arco at sunset! If you do SUR Beach House right, you will be toast by the end of the day and ready to finish the party by your private pool at the Montecristo Estates.

For your last day, I highly recommend renting a car or hiring a driver to take you and your group to Todos Santos for the day. It's a magical little town full of culture and charm. Along the way, be sure to stop at 'Art and Beer', a hole in the wall bar in the middle of the desert that sells, you guessed it, art and beer. They also have the best Bloody Mary's FULL of seafood. They are truly a work of art in and of themselves! If you have a driver, I also recommend stopping at Tequilas Sunrise for the best (and strongest!) margarita you have had all week.

Once you return back to the villa, it's time for the best dinner you will have all week! Arbol at Las Ventanas al Paraiso is truly magical. From the private tables enclosed in the pool to the one-of-a-kind cocktails, live music, lighting from the trees and everything in between - Arbol is a must-do spot. Eat delicious food, enjoy the views and take in one last night in paradise.
