My travel style

My travel style is culture-driven and locally focused, while always as relaxed and flexible. When I visit a place, I want to experience what a local resident would highlight, as if taking a close friend through their hometown. I love cultural exchange and challenging myself to learn along the way, while mainly working towards my next meal, coffee or glass of wine! Most of all, I look to embrace travel as an opportunity to see myself and the world through a new lens, and return home again refreshed.

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I have been in the bar and restaurant industry for over ten years, and I am still working in the bar world – it has created a network for me of great new friends and led to some of my best travel experiences. 

  2. I was once a certified white water rafting guide and I have rafted in multiple countries. 

  3. I lived and studied in Europe for just over six years, which culminated in a masters degree in Venetian Renaissance Art History.
