Day 1: Hotel Celebrations Abash
The first day in Jamaica is about settling in, exploring the property, and enjoying a drink (or five) by the pool. You are in Jamaica, after all. Some hotels have swim-up bars and DJ sets by the pool, which is a great way to kick off your bachelorette celebrations without venturing outside the hotel.
Take a walk on the beach to watch the sunset and capture some Instagram shots. Golden hour is stunning in Jamaica, offering a kaleidoscope of colors in the sky. At night you can almost see the entire Milky Way.
Book a fun dinner at your resort and enjoy the on-site amenities for the first night.
Day 2: Boozy Yacht Day
It’s no surprise that Jamaica’s coast is even more glorious when explored by boat. So grab your bachelorette and head out on either a private charter or group cruise. These are offered daily from the country’s popular ports and can be booked online, in person or with your hotel concierge. There is tons of great snorkeling across the island and adult-friendly destinations like Margaritaville, an open-air restaurant with a water trampoline and 120-foot water slide. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water and apply sunscreen as you’ll be in the sun for hours on end. Indulge in Jamaica’s best!
Day 3: Chasing Waterfalls
Take a day trip to Dunn's River Falls – a cascading, 65-foot waterfall near Ocho Rios. This is one of Jamaica’s most famous (and prized) destinations, so be sure to book with a tour company that can arrange for an accessible entrance to the water park and guides your group to the best locations. Some tours offer zip-lining or ATVs as part of the experience.
Later in the afternoon, consider splurging on a private group dinner on the beach before hitting the resort bar for your last night.
Pro Tip: Hotels versus AirBnBs for Bachelorette Parties
While many group trips opt to stay at an AirBnB over a hotel, we recommend a hotel all the way. Not only does a hotel provide a more seamless travel experience (for logistics like airport transfers and on-the-ground concierge services), but hotels provide more flexibility. For instance, if a member of your party has to cancel (due to COVID or travel restrictions), the hotel can arrange a refund. At an AirBnB, you're stuck splitting the cost.
