Known for its art, nature and amazing shops and restaurants, it is truly one of the top LGBTQ+ destinations in the world. With so many things to do and sights to enjoy, a trip to Provincetown is always an adventure if you want it to be! Plan to walk Commercial Street, eat outside, party at Tea Dance or just take in the beauty of the dunes and national seashore as you explore the area!

Things to do in Provincetown, MA
Beaches: Hang out at Race Point Beach all day and possibly see some whales! Later in the day, drive down the road to Herring Cove Beach to catch a beautiful sunset.
Shopping: Walking up and down Commercial Street, you'll experience the real uniqueness of Provincetown. Stop into any of the amazing little shops, buy some souvenirs or make reservations for a drag show later that night.
Dune Tours: Check out Art's Dune Tours and jump into his Suburban to go explore the dunes of Provincetown. Upgrade your trip to include a sunset tour or a clambake.
Art Galleries: Head towards the east end of Provincetown to check out the galleries. Stop into the Provincetown Art Association and Museum.
Bar-Hopping: One of the easiest things to do in Provincetown. Lots of restaurants have outside seating so you can continue to people watch as you enjoy a gin and tonic.
Sit Outside Town Hall: Grab a bench right outside of Town Hall and watch everyone go by. You're sure to be entertained. You may also see some street performers as this is a popular spot for them in the summer months.
Whale Watches: Head down MacMillan Pier to reserve your whale watch tickets. The last few years have been really busy on the Cape!
Boat Rentals: Continue towards the Coast Guard station at the west end of Commercial Street until you come to Flyer's Boat Rentals. Ask for a Pontoon boat to explore the bay and anchor over by Long Point Lighthouse for a few hours!
Places to eat & drink in Provincetown, MA
The Canteen: Amazing, casual food. Make sure you order inside and then continue along the side of the building to outdoor seating in the back.
Ross' Grille: Wonderful, unique food with great specials. Ask for reservations at the bar if you want to hear lots of information about the wines!
The Lobster Pot: A Provincetown staple. Try the Clam Chowder and ask to sit on the second level for the best view.
Mac's Fish House: Off the beaten path, but worth it. Great seafood selection and kid-friendly.
Bayside Betsy's: Try the mudslides if you go! Great breakfasts and good service.
Bubala's by the Bay: Lots of outdoor seating and an eclectic menu. Right on Commercial Street for good people watching.
JD's: Great view overlooking Commercial Street if you can snag a few seats along the ledge.
Spiritus Pizza: A Provincetown legend. Huge pizza slices — especially popular when the bars let out, around 2am.
