My travel style
For me, travel is all about crafting a spectrum of experiences that a destination can uniquely offer. You can see me sitting on a plastic stool to savor the delicious-but-questionable-in-hygiene street food, chatting with the owner of the food stall one day and impatiently waiting to learn more about the cooking technique used for the delicacy that just blew my mind in a Michelin-starred restaurant the next day. The way I travel and help others travel starts with understanding the identity, history, culture, stories and peculiarities of a destination. I then hand-pick experiences, hotels, landmarks and historic bits that reflect not just the character of the destination, but also the needs of the traveler for that specific trip. Be it boutique, luxury or budget, experience itself and its relevance to the destination is all that matters to me.
Favorite hotels
Recently returned from:
Savoring local cuisine, absorbing the ages of history, maneuvering a stroller on the cobblestoned streets and changing diapers next to Pantheon in Rome.
Lazily sipping cocktails on the beach, lots of swimming, hiking and watching flying foxes in Seychelles.
Ice swimming, riding husky sledges, driving snowmobiles and chasing Auroras in Lapland.
Hopping around breweries and art museums, as well as people watching in small Bavarian towns in Munich.
Dreaming of:
Western South America – Colombia, Peru and Chile.
East Africa.
Japan.
Iceland and Faroe Islands.
One thing I can't travel without...
A good bite of local food and a glass of something to wash it down.
Two truths, one lie:
A very kind check-in officer in Amsterdam tore my boarding pass to pieces while smiling at me.
A kid hanging from the window of a fast moving bus snatched my suitcase away on my first day in Rio de Janeiro.
I was chased by an angry mob of bus drivers in Trabzon.
