‘When in Rome’ is more than an expression to me. No matter where I am, I try to be a local. I value authenticity, crave local flavors and treasure each new encounter with everyone I meet. I am also passionate about history and culture, often taking in all the great sights and must do experiences in each destination.

One thing I can't travel without...
My travel journals – I collect postcards and memorabilia from each place I visit and write down whatever I can so that I can look back and remember how I felt in that moment.
Two truths, one lie:
I am named after a wine that is named after a river.
I swam with whale sharks in Hawaii.
I dropped my phone in the Venice Canals and went in to get it – and it still worked!
