Bahamas
With 700 islands and 2,500 cays, the Bahamas is pure beach bliss. Go for the casinos and megaresorts of fun-loving Nassau, the glitz and pink sand of Harbour Island or the deserted beaches of Eleuthera. There’s a slice of sand for every type of sun lover.
Bahamas travel tips
When a country looks like a postcard, it’s hard to pick the best spot for a Bahamas vacation – everywhere you go is idyllic! For honeymooners, Eleuthera is serene, secluded and private; everything you’d want for your first days of wedded bliss. Harbour Island feels like you’re stepping onto an alternate universe, where the sand is pink. Baha Mar in Nassau is one of the best spots for couples, friends and families with lots of shopping, great restaurants and picturesque beaches. No matter where you choose to dig your toes in the sand, your trip to the Bahamas will be a dream come true.
So glad you asked – we love talking about our favorite Bahamas resorts! The best Nassau resorts are also some of the most luxurious in the Bahamas and include Rosewood Baha Mar, the Ocean Club Four Seasons and the Cove at Atlantis. When you’re seeking seclusion, Eleuthera’s French Leave Resort fits the bill. If you want to play on the pink sand of Harbour Island, Pink Sands Resort, Coral Sands Hotel and the Dunmore are some of the most beloved. Want a private island all to yourself? Check out Musha Cay in Great Exuma for the most exclusive Bahamas vacation.
Bahamas travel is the best from December through April. You’ll swear you’ve finally stepped into your computer’s beach screensaver (or that picture you’ve had on your vision board!). Although this is peak season, it’s the best for a Bahamas vacation – the weather is deliciously warm, the sunsets spectacular, and both the sky and water compete for the award for best shade of blue.
